Call for Special Sessions

International Symposium on Chinese Spoken Language Processing (ISCSLP) is a biennial conference for scientists, researchers, and practitioners to report and discuss the latest progress in all theoretical and technological aspects of spoken language processing. Since 1998, it has been successfully held in Singapore (1998), Beijing (2000), Taipei (2002), Hong Kong, (2004), Singapore (2006), Kuming (2008), Tainan (2010), Hong Kong (2012), Singapore (2014), and Tianjin (2016), Taipei (2018), and Hong Kong (2021). ISCSLP is the flagship conference of SIG-CSLP, ISCA.

The 13^th International Symposium on Chinese Spoken Language Processing (ISCSLP 2022) will be held in Singapore on December 11-14, 2022. More information about ISCSLP 2022 can be found on the conference website at http://www.iscslp2022.org/

As the Special Session Chairs, we would like to invite you to propose a special session for ISCSLP 2022. Special sessions are to complement the regular technical program with interdisciplinary topics and/or important new emerging areas of interest related to the main conference. A special session should focus on a particular topic different from the regular sessions, and each special session should comprise no more than 5 papers.

The following information should be included in the proposal:

• Title of the proposed special session.
• Names/affiliations of the organizers (including brief bio and contact information).
• Session abstract (state significance of the topic and the rationale for the proposed session).
• List of invited papers (including a tentative title, the author list and a 300-words abstract).

The conference will allow any authors to submit papers to the special sessions. To ensure the paper quality, all papers submitted to the special sessions will be reviewed through the same review process as papers in the regular sessions. If a special session has more than 5 papers being accepted, some of the papers will be moved to the regular sessions.

Proposals will be evaluated by a committee invited by the Special Session Chairs based on the importance of the topic and its relevance to ISCSLP, as well as the qualification of the organizer(s) and quality of the invited papers. Once the proposal has been approved, the proposed special session will be registered in the conference system to accept submissions, and the special session co-chairs will assist the organizer(s) to arrange the review process.
